What first was “THE RING”…

The writers are proud to say this piece began as a homework assignment punctuating their first year core curriculum studies at ANMT (The Academy for New Musical Theatre) in North Hollywood, California.  For their final, they wrote a 15-minute mini musical entitled “The Ring” which was showcased in an evening of mini musicals at the Colony Theatre in Burbank, California in June 2009.

Having attended the ANMT showcase, stage director, Cait Caplin, representing the Victory Theatre in Burbank, California approached ANMT to have the writers expand the piece to a full-length musical draft, the result of which were two well-received staged readings in July 2011, the first performed at the Victory Theatre and the second at the 2011 Stages Festival hosted by ANMT.

…is now…  “A RING IN BROOKLYN”

On July 28, 2012, a fully mounted production of A RING IN BROOKLYN began a 6-week run at the NOHO Arts Center in North Hollywood, California produced and developed under the auspices of The Academy for New Musical Theatre in association with DOMA Theatre of Los Angeles.  Navigate to “2012 PRODUCTION” for music samples, production photos and reviews of the summer run.
